Breakthrough to Literacy

Breakthrough to Literacy is a language and literacy programme designed to improve the school readiness and literacy of children aged 3-6 years. Through the use of weekly books and computer-based activities, the programme aims to improve children's alphabet knowledge, phonological awareness, vocabulary and word recognition. The programme is implemented daily throughout pre-school and reception and uses individual, small group and class-wide activities. Teachers are specially trained to use to Breakthrough to Literacy curriculum.
